This page is about the software (="firmware") that runs inside the processor of the throttle.
FCalib is a DOS based software to program the test software, the operation software and the callibration data into the memory inside the throttle.
The software is open source and may be freely copied for non commercial purpose.
Attention: Please do never load software for foor function keys into a normal FRED! Normally the pin for the foorth function key is not connected, therefore the software sometimes reads one and sometimes zero. This leads to an enormous increase of packets on the LocoNet: function on, function off, function on,...
The versions up to 1.5 only support three function keys. Version 1.6 only supports foor function keys. There are two branches of Version 1.7: one for three and one for foor function keys. FCalib includes version 1.7 and lets you choose in the menu which software branch to use.The sources can be viewed in the web interface of the subversion server at Sourceforge.
- Version 1.0 was used in Oberwildflecken
- Version 1.1 used in Lingen
- Version 1.2 was used in Bremen
- Version 1.4 is the first stable release
- Version 1.5 has a little improved network code
- Version 1.6 has optionally a forth function key and can operate FB and FC in a non-toggling mode, see readme
- Version 1.7 is the same code as 1.6, but has a assembler switch to enable/disable the fourth function key. Hex files of both variants are bundled with FCalib 1.0
